WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?

 

I completely forget that I have this blog at all until I go to update my website. Anyway, I have crossed many, many things off of my bucket list lately. One of my favorites was a trash-the-dress photoshoot. The day before the photoshoot, the guy messaged me on Facebook to let me know that he'd be proposing! So exciting. We decided he would cough loudly before he planned to do it so that I'd be prepared. He did the weirdest cough I've ever heard before dropping to one knee. She did not sound surprised in the least, but she was also nervous about photos. We got some super cute photos and they both got VERY wet.

The more I do photography in this way, the more I realize how unique the service I provide is. I've worked with many other photographers in the past and some of them have been... stuffy... to say the least. My philosophy is that we're creating memories... shouldn't they be fun? Shouldn't you look back at those photos and be like, "Oh, yeah, that was 0.5 seconds before you tried to drown me? Good times." YES. THE ANSWER IS YES. Photoshoots should be fun! They should result in silly and nostalgia-inducing moments. I want every model I have to be like, "Carissa? Oh, yeah, we had so much fun!"
